Child abuse
In many ways, The Lottery Rose relates to our world, but it has one particular relation: child abuse. In The Lottery Rose, the main character, Georgie, his mother abuses him. This happens in many cases in our world. She neglects him, and threatens him to the point where he misbehaves constantly. Also, her boyfriend abuses Georgie, which also happens in the world. He will beat him to the point where he will get a black eye, or a bloody nose, just like many people do to their children. (Ashley)

yes, I think that child abuse is a major problem and that its vile thing to do to childeren. These kids are so young they shoulden't have to go through that. I completly agree with you.

It's strange how you need a license for driving a car, getting married, registering to vote...but NOT a license for parenting. Perhaps we should change this policy!
